Born out of a common love for all things meat, fire and friendship, BBQ Battalion Armidale was formed in 2022.
With the Armidale Regional Council’s highly successful Big Chill Festival heading into its second year it only made sense to partner with them for an epic autumn weekend of live international bands, craft breweries, distilleries and wineries, and some of the best BBQ pitmasters that Australia has to offer.
Now in its 5th year with BBQ Battalion, BBQ @ The Big Chill continues to raise the bar for Australian BBQ competitions. Recognised with the 2025 Australian BBQ Awards Hall of Fame Promotor Award, this event is all about top-tier BBQ, great people, and unforgettable vibes.
